Meet Rose Red Elk, a.k.a. Red Feather Woman

Rose Red Elk is an international performing arts entertainer, known by her Native American traditional and stage name, Red Feather Woman. She is an enrolled member of the Sioux/Assiniboine Tribes. She is a master oral storyteller, singer, songwriter and author.  Two time Native American Music Awards winner, her albums are a unique blend of traditional spoken word that weaves the traditional mysticism of Native American stories into original contemporary songs. As a storyteller/musician focusing on blending tales of hope and spiritual survival, she has proved to be a true ambassador of peace and unity everywhere her stories are heard.

Her most important mission is the preservation of her peoples’ ancient culture and art form. She teaches (through performance) audiences the importance of Mother Earth and to reflect on their individual personal heritage. Her mission is to “Educate, Entertain and Enlighten her audiences.

Red Feather Woman can perform as a solo act, duo of Native American flute and guitar, trio, full band, or a full band with dancers. She also has a visual slide show to compliment her performance.
